PANAF Polyvalent antivenom is the only African antivenom indorsed by WHO, and MSF (Medecins Sans Frontiers ) it also has ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) status.
There are a number of other antivenom producers located in Europe and Asia supplying antivenoms into Africa. WHO has given out warning advisories against these antivenoms as they do not meet the production standards, efficacy and reliability standards, some of these antivenoms have lost their importation and distribution rights by the relevant regularity authorities, i.e. Kenya and Tanzania.
